Storm Doors and The Door

Storm Doors and The Door

Storm Doors and The Door

As the fall colors give way to winter rains, sleet and snow, we know change is in the air. I have seen many homeowners remove screens on windows and doors. Replacing them with storm windows and doors to brace against the upcoming harsh  season.  In life, changing seasons and situations also take preparation.

In the Bible, Jesus rarely spoke of himself. Typically he would explain kingdom principles, speak of the Holy Spirit, God, The Father or the assignment to which he was sent.

However, in the intimate letter of John this changes. Therein, Jesus describes himself as follows:

“I am The Good Shepherd”                         John 10:11

“I am The Bread Of Life”                               John 6:35

Interesting, He stated He was the door! John 10:7 (Which is the third of seven “I Am” Declarations).

An amazing “door” Holy Spirit showed me years ago which I call The John 10:10 Door. It reads, The thief (devil) comes to steal, kill and destroy.” But Jesus says, “I come to give life and life more abundantly.”

The John 10:10 door means stepping from the past, out of the storms of the devil, stealing (your dreams), killing (your hopes) and destroying (relationships) and anything good God has for you.

When Jesus promises stepping into the new life, it means abundant living, living life on purpose and eventually eternal life.

We make the choice then, to stay and remain bombarded by “storms” or… this life with God and His promises we can enjoy and share with others.

Today, before any more “storms” come your way. Step through the John 10:10 door and choose Jesus Christ as your Savior and The Lord of your life.

He is indeed; The Way John 14:6

The Way, The Truth and The life.  John 14:6
